Raelle and Murray Kinsella are the couple behind the tiny team of four staff who produce a wonderful range of spice blends and meals to help you cook like a chef in your own kitchen. Even though neither of them had a food background when they purchased the business 12 years ago, they are dedicated cooks who simply love the flavours of Mediterranean and Moroccan cuisine.
Their spice mixes are exceptionally fragrant largely due to the fact that the whole spices are ground on an old stone grinder which preserves the natural oils and avoids muting the flavours.
After feedback from customers that even though they loved the smell and flavour of the spice blends they were unsure of how to use them, the couple created ready to cook meal solutions. Their range of vegan friendly dried beans, rice, quinoa and couscous meals are a great store cupboard staple.
Raele personally loves the rose harissa, which she stirs through yoghurt to make a dipping sauce for vegetables fritters or adds to stews to give a fragrant chilli hit.
We love the couscous with apricot made into a salad by adding lots of fresh herbs a good glug of olive oil and crumbled Thorvald feta.
