After several decades in the fruit processing industry where life was crazy busy and production was measured in the thousands of tons, Dawn is now living a “slower” life, hand-making a range of muesli, jam, sauces, and of course her delicious fruit butter for cheese.
The name ‘Lilly’ is in honour of a century old relative from the Orkney Islands of Scotland who was partial to a dollop of jam.
Supporting locals is close to Dawn’s heart; all the fruit is sourced from across the Central Otago region, and she is a regular at local Farmers’ markets where she can speak directly to her customers, getting valuable feedback and flavour suggestions. We especially love Lilly’s Rhubarb butter for its tangy sweetness.
