Neither Bob nor Anna had ever dreamed of establishing a cheese factory, but in the early 1980’s, when Anna started experimenting with cheesemaking in her home kitchen the seed was sown. Anna and Bob remain at the heart of this business and three of their four sons – Jake, Jesse and Tim all play a role in creating the distinctive award-winning selection of Mahoe cheese. The cows graze on the farmland surrounding the cheesery, meaning the milk after each milking goes directly into the cheese factory. The freshness of the milk plays a big role in the outstanding quality and consistency of Mahoe cheese.
